GranadaSemester / TrimesterSpanish Language and Culture Semester - University of GranadaThis program offers Spanish language courses as well as culture courses at the high intermediate level. Students will take a minimum of four courses and a maximum of five courses. All classes are taken at the Center for Modern Languages at the University of Granada with international students. EligibilityMinimum GPA Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50. Minimum Admissions Prerequisites Students must have completed three semesters (four quarters) or the equivalent of college-level Spanish. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Granada. If the exam indicates that the student's language level is too advanced for this program, the student may be required to switch to the Hispanic Studes Program. Course InformationCourse Disclaimer Course placement is often based on a placement test administered on-site. Whether you take the minimum hours of instruction available or maximum hours of instruction available during this program depends on the course equivalency requirements of your home univeristy. The courses in this program consist of 40 hours of instruction each. However, students may earn 45 hours per course by attending supplemental sessions and completing additional coursework.
