A variety of options exist for students wishing to spend a semester in Granada. ISA semester programs at the University of Granada vary in length and content. Programs are available for students at any Spanish language level, from absolute beginner to very advanced. Students at the high-intermediate and advanced levels may also select programs which focus more heavily on Spanish culture and civilization. Participants are in the classroom with other international students.
During the summer, ISA offers 5-week programs for students at any Spanish language level. The Intensive Spanish Language programs focus on language acquisition. The Spanish Language and Culture programs have both a language and culture component. Participants are in the classroom with other international students.
The Intensive Month programs give students at any Spanish language level the chance to improve their language skills. The program consists of four weeks of grammar and conversation classes at the University of Granada's Center for Modern Languages. Participants are in the classroom with other international students. The intensive month may be completed as an individual program, or it may serve well as a precursor to another longer program.
ISA Custom Programs are developed in partnership with U.S. universities to offer students unique course options. Cultural activities and excursions, program dates and duration, and academics vary by program. Studying abroad with U.S. university students and faculty fosters a cohesive group dynamic with additional support of ISA staff in the U.S. and abroad.
