With its lush gardens and natural beauty, it is not surprising that Aranjuez has been declared
a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape. Spend the morning touring the extravagant
Palacio Real de Aranjuez, the Real Casa del Labrador and the Falúas Reales before
heading to the neighboring town of Chinchón. There you will tour the Plaza Mayor, one of
the most beautiful plazas in all of Spain. After lunch, continue on to the city of Alcalá de
Henares, another city that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The city
maintains its medieval feel with many monuments and palaces, yet it blends well with the
youthful energy of a typical university town.
