Spanish Language, Literature & Electives in English

This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency. Students at the beginning level of Spanish will be able to take electives in English. Students at the intermediate level of Spanish will be able to take a Spanish language course or electives in English. Students at the advanced level of Spanish will be able to choose from Spanish language coursework and/or electives in English. Courses are taught by host university faculty at the Universidad de Málaga.
Students who have completed the following number of semesters/quarters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent typically place into the following language levels:
3-4 semesters (4-6 quarters) = Intermediate

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
There is no language requirement for this program. Please note that if a student wishes to take Spanish language coursework, they must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two semesters (three quarters) of college-level Spanish. If a student is at the beginning level of Spanish, they are not eligible for the back-to-back option due to course availability.
