The Intensive Spanish Language program accommodates students with beginning and intermediate level Spanish proficiency. Students will take Spanish language courses in 3 separate modules, thus allowing them to progress to a higher level of Spanish at the end of each module. Courses are held at the University of Málaga's Center for Cursos de Español Para Extranjeros and are taught by host university faculty. Program participants will benefit from small class sizes. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American.
Students who have completed the following number of semesters/quarters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent typically place into the following language levels:
0-1 semesters (0-2 quarters) = Beginning
2-3 semesters (3-5 quarters) = High Beginning
3-4 semesters (4-6 quarters) = Intermediate
Students may choose to incorporate an Intensive Month program before/after this program starts/ends for an additional cost. Please refer to the Intensive Month program section of the website for more information and to ensure that the program dates will align.
