This program provides participating students the opportunity to select courses from the University of Málaga's diverse academic departments and fields of study, including: language and literature, history, Hispanic Studies and Linguistics, geography, translation, and art, among other subjects. All courses are taught in Spanish by faculty from the University of Málaga. Classmates will be local Spanish students.

Students take a placement test upon arrival to Málaga before beginning an Intensive Spanish Course. The Intensive Spanish Course will be held at the Teatinos Campus, located 15-20 minutes by bus from the center of Málaga. The campus was built in the late 1990's and is considered one of the most modern university campuses in Spain.

IMPORTANT: The courses listed for the Year 4 session are not necessarily offered during both the Fall 4 and Winter 4 semesters. Please reference the available course syllabi to determine when courses are offered. For additional course inquiries, please contact ISA.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two upper-division Spanish courses. Most universities equate this as six semesters (8-9 quarters) of college-level Spanish.
