Students may choose from the following Academic Program options:
There are two year-long program options in Málaga: Hispanic Studies, Business & Spanish Language and Spanish Language & Courses with Locals, both at the University of Málaga. The Hispanic Studies, Business & Spanish Language program is open to students with a beginning, high beginning, intermediate, or advanced Spanish language level. The Spanish Language & Courses with Locals program is only open to students with a superior Spanish language level.
There are three options for students who wish to spend a semester in Málaga: Intensive Spanish Language, Hispanic Studies, Business & Spanish Language, and Spanish Language & Courses with Locals. The Intensive Spanish Language program offers courses at the beginning, high beginning, and intermediate levels. The Hispanic Studies, Business & Spanish Language program offers courses at the beginning, high beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. The Spanish Language & Courses with Locals program offers courses at the superior level.
The Spanish Language, Culture & Literature summer program in Málaga offers courses at the beginning, high beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish language levels. There are two summer sessions to choose from, and students may also participate in back to back sessions.
The Intensive Spanish Language intensive month program in Málaga offers courses at all Spanish language levels: beginning, high beginning, intermediate, advanced, and superior. The intensive month can be completed as an individual program or it can be combined with another ISA program. Many students choose to participate in an Intensive Month program as a precursor to their semester, year, or summer program.
ISA Custom Programs are developed in partnership with U.S. universities to offer students unique course options. Cultural activities and excursions, program dates and duration, and academics vary by program. Studying abroad with U.S. university students and faculty fosters a cohesive group dynamic with additional support of ISA staff in the U.S. and abroad.
