During this single day visit, students will visit one of the most beautiful and historical cities of Spain's autonomous region of Castilla y Léon. Segovia is probably best known for its wonderfully preserved 2nd century Roman aqueduct, as well as for the medieval castle where the coronation of Queen Isabella la Catholic was held.
On walking tours led my official tour guides, students will visit these monuments as well as la Casa de los Picos, the Great Synagogue, the Jewish Quarter or Judería, the Segovia Cathedral with its Plaza Mayor, and the now emblematic Moorish-style Alcázar. The walking tour also incluses a stop to take in breathtaking views of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. Following this walking tour, students will visit Segovia's most popular ceramic workshop where they will be giving a chance for some experiential learning as they try their hand at the potter's wheel.
