Spanish Language & Culture - Universidad de Salamanca

This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency. Beginning level courses focus solely on language acquisition while intermediate, advanced, and superior level courses expand on Spanish culture, in addition to grammar. Classes are taught in Spanish by host university faculty and students are in class with international students.


Students can participate in an Intensive Month program before this program begins for an extra cost. Please contact ISA for more details.

Hispanic Studies - Universidad de Salamanca

This program offers courses at the advanced level that specifically focus on Spanish culture while also working on Spanish grammar. Students may choose from the Spring 2 semester program, the Fall 2 semester program, or the Academic Year 2 program, which combines the Fall 2 and Spring 2 semesters. All classes are taken with international students.

Gap students are also eligible for this program.

Spanish Language & Courses with Locals - Universidad de Salamanca

This program offers courses with local Spanish students at the University of Salamanca after an Intensive Spanish Language course at the beginning of the program. Students must be at least at the superior language level to participate in this program as all courses will be instructed in Spanish by host university faculty and classmates will be Spanish students. Students will take a required Intensive Spanish Language course with international students at the beginning of the program before enrolling in courses directly at the University of Salamanca with local Spanish students.

Gap students are also eligible for this program.

Liberal Arts & Spanish Language - Universidad de Salamanca

The Liberal Arts & Spanish Language program offers courses in English and Spanish in a variety of language, culture, political science,and business topics. Courses taught in English are open to all levels. Content courses taught in Spanish are instructed at the advanced level, but are open to students at the intermediate level and above. Please note that students are completely responsible for their course choices. All classes are taken with other international students from various countries and programs.

Students have the option of incorporating a Salamanca Intensive Month program before and/or after this program for a discounted price. Please refer to the Salamanca Intensive Month page to ensure program dates will align and for more information.

Business & Spanish Language - Universidad de Salamanca

This program is offered to students of any language level and offers business courses taught in English as well as language and culture courses taught in Spanish. Students on this program are required to take two courses from the Business & Spanish Language core business curriculum. Then, students are allowed to enroll in courses taught in Spanish from this program, the Liberal Arts & Spanish Language program or the Spanish Language & Courses with Locals program, provided they meet the specific course eligibility requirements.
