Through centuries of strong whaling, shipbuilding and steel industries, Bilbao has endured hardships such as the repression by General Francisco Franco, floods, and difficult economic growing pains during the globalization of their once dominant steel industry. Despite these obstacles, Bilbao has emerged as a one of Spain's most sophisticated cities. This excursion will also include a trip to Guernica, a typical Basque village, birthplace of Basque government and an important historical point of reference. Available in the following sessions
