Ranked as one of the most prominent European summer universities, its academic rigor is demonstrated by its quality courses and seminars imparted by recognized specialists and prestigious Spanish professors. Each summer, the university exhibits more than 5,000 students pass through its classrooms.

Popular areas of study at the UIMP include:

  • Spanish History
  • Spanish Literature
Originally headquartered at the Palacio de la Magdalena, the summer retreat for King Alfonso XIII, the UIMP has expanded its reach across Spain to include campuses in Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Granada, and several other eminent cities. Spanish language and culture courses are held at the UIMP's Las Llamas Campus, located minutes from El Sardinero, Santander's enclave of pristine beaches. The campus is equipped with a library that caters to foreign students, a video library, and a language lab. In addition to the academic program, the UIMP also offers a wide variety of cultural activities such as concerts, theater performances, art exhibits, and poetry readings.

This program is great for students who wish to hone their Spanish language skills in an often overlooked city.
