Students may choose between the following Program Terms:
The Summer 1 program provides courses in high beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish, while the Summer 2 program provides courses in intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish. Students can take courses focusing on language acquisition, or they can choose from courses in culture, literature, international relations, international marketing and economics. Courses are taught in Spanish or English.
Students will be taking courses with other ISA students. Courses are taught by host university faculty at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo.
All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Sevilla. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Spain having completed one semester of college-level Spanish will likely place into high-beginning level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed two years of college-level Spanish will likely place into advanced level courses. Students at the beginner-level must take courses taught in English.
Gap Year students are also eligible for this program. For more information, click.
