Academic Programs in Amsterdam

Students may choose from the following Academic Program options:

Academic Year

The academic year program gives students a truly European experience as they study alongside Dutch and other international students on a centralized campus in Amsterdam. The year is divided into six distinct periods and students will take two or three intensive classes per block. Hundreds of course options are available in the faculties of Earth and Life Sciences, Behavioral and Human Movement Sciences, Sciences, Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law.

Semester / Trimester

The semester program in Amsterdam offers students the opportunity to study alongside Dutch and other international students in a wide variety of courses taught entirely in English. Course options are available in the faculties of Earth and Life Sciences, Behavioral and Human Movement Sciences, Sciences, Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law. The semester is divided into three seven-week periods and students have the option to stay for all three periods, totaling about five months, or for just the first two periods, totaling about four months.

Summer

Summer students have the opportunity to take up to three intensive courses covering a wide range of topics. All classes are designed to provide an in-depth look into the topic of study with excursions to museums and other locations around Amsterdam to facilitate deeper engagement with course content. There will be three blocks of courses offered, each taking place over a two week period; students can choose to take either two or three blocks per summer.
