    PURPOSE
    The purpose of this module is to introduce the learners to the many meanings of the concept African and the nature of an African perspective in Psychology.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    Demonstrate an understanding of and tolerance for the concepts African and African Perspectives in psychology.Discuss critically the concept of self from an African and Western perspective.Demonstrate an understanding of contributions of African perspectives to psychology as a science Understand how psychologists can contribute and intervene in psychological problems affecting people who reside on the African continent.Understand how transitional phases contribute to the self-concept and self-image of individuals.
