    Course Objectives:

    The course provides students who have basic knowledge of Korean with a solid foundation

    in basic proficiency for survival through communicative activities and meaningful grammar.

    Requirements for Course:

    a)  Be there. .

    Class attendance of AT LEAST 80% is required to earn a passing grade.

    You may not do extra assignments to "make up" for missing class. An absence will only

    be excused if it involves an overnight hospital stay, an official university activity, or the

    death of an immediate family member. Documentation is required in all such cases.

    b)  Participate. 

    You will do well in this category if you:

    • complete all homework assignments.
    • try to only speak Korean in class.
    • show interest in the class and have a positive attitude.
    • are courteous to the teacher and other students.
    • stay on-task in class.
