    Course Description:

    Consolidation of the acquisitions of ICLC 211 and 212 and further mastering of complex grammar and vocabulary in order to allow the students to fully reach a standard pre‐intermediate level of proficiency.

    Course Objectives:

    • Make an invitation
    • Ask about possibilities or reasons
    • Decline a request
    • Order dishes in a restaurant
    • Understand Chinese proverbs or idioms from a story
    • Express agreement or disagreement
    • Read and summarize a passage
    • Make a travel plan
    • Express a sudden recognition
    • Express one’s wishes.

    Teaching Methods:

    Lecture, exercise, teamwork and activities.

    Teaching Media:

    • Textbook : Hanyu Jiaocheng Volume 2 (Book 2).
    • Additional teaching materials : handouts, transparencies, cassette tapes and VCR.
