  • Overview

This course offers a compact introduction to academic text production methods. Students will be familiarized with the structure and style of different academic text forms and create according texts themselves. We will prepare for these text productions through exercises dealing with, among others, creating theses and definitions and with the construction and elaboration of an argument. Added to this are exercises on the level of word/phrase/text which will help you use contemporary scientific German appropriately, especially regarding stylistic features and techniques. At the end of the course, you will be able to create academic texts that are at once logically structured and comprehensible as well as fascinating.
