  • Overview

    This module will focus on translating German-language literary texts, including excerpts from novels and dramas as well as poetry and short prose, into English. Students will be taught to be sensitive to elements of style, language, and tone in their translations, so as to produce an equivalent literary text in English. This practice-based module is particularly apt for anyone interested in a career in translation.
