    A. GENERAL OBJECTIVE
    Students will be able to understand and express themselves with the use of basic linguistic structures intended for everyday situations and situations related to the student?s personal experiences in a way that allows them to exchange information simply and directly.

    B. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
    Listening Comprehension-
    In a conversation with an interlocutor, the student will be able to understand statements made in reference to material needs and social relations pertaining to daily life, physical sensations, explicitly formulated feelings, and formulated personal opinions; equal in explicit and simple form.

    Through media, the student will be able to understand essential information obtained from the messages related to the themes of the program.

    Oral Production-
    In a live conversation with an interlocutor, the student will express relative messages relating to material needs and social relations pertaining to daily life, physical sensations, emotional status, and personal feelings and opinions in a comprehensible manner in spite being emitted at a slower than normal velocity with few errors.

    Reading Comprehension-
    The student will understand the essential aspects of the original short texts (notes and personal letters, advertisements, etc.) related to basic necessities of daily life or that explicitly relate to the cultural contents of the program.
    In the event that the texts contain grammatical elements or unknown vocabulary, he/she will extract the information by contextual means and by the overall comprehension.

    Written Comprehension-
    The student will write personal notes relating to basic life necessities, and will then produce descriptions and narrations through the use of simple announcements tied with essential discursive connectors. He/she will express messages to the recipient with some misspellings.

    C. 1. Communicative Contents:
    - Control of communication: how do you say, how do you pronounce, how do you write or how do you translate something.

    - Interrogative phrases with the answer yes/no.
    - Coordination of elements with ?and, or and but.?

    - Gender and number of qualifying adjectives.

    - Forms and uses of the interrogative: qué, quién/quiénes.
    - Preposition de + subject, material and owner.
