COURSE DESCRIPTION: The objective of this course is for students to learn how to deal with everyday situations in Spanish.

Introducing one. Spelling words. Numbers.
UNIT 2 ? TIME AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Giving and asking the time. Making a schedule. Professions.
NIT 3 ? DESCRIPTIONS
Talking about the family. Describing a person physically. Talking about personality.
UNIT 4 ? ON THE PHONE
Initiating a telephone conversation.
UNIT 5 ? HOW ARE YOU DOING?
Asking someone how he or she is feeling and expressing how one is feeling. Expressing pain.
UNIT 6 ? SHOPPING
Talking about clothing and how they fit someone. Asking for items in a store. Asking about the price. Talking about personal preferences.
UNIT 7 ? IN THE RESTAURANT
Ordering and asking for service in a restaurant. Talking about food.
UNIT 8 ? MY HOUSE
Describing a house. Talking about furniture and explaining what there is in each room. Talking about location. Writing informal letters.

Attendance to class is mandatory.
Changes in language level can only be carried out during the first week of class. Likewise it will not be possible to drop a course once the second week of classes has begun.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
