  • Overview

    Course Objective

This subject aims to provide building blocks on which all chemical disciplines rest and thus provide a solid foundation for the entire to study Pharmaceutical Sciences subsequently. At the same time, efforts are being made to integrate chemistry into the context of other natural sciences as well as its relevance to theto explain the phenomenon of life.

    Course Content

Chemistry is the science of substances, their structure and properties, and in particular their conversion via chemical reactions. Within Pharmaceutical In science as well as in other natural sciences, chemistry takes over a central place and has many points of contact with the other disciplines, from physics to biology.

The multidisciplinary character is emphasized by the treatment of fundamental molecular principles that are relevant in the context of the different natural sciences. In this context, the following will be discussed: "equilibria", "pH calculations", "solubility", "oxidation state", "redox chemistry", "measurement results", "reproducibility", "introduction organic chemistry", "introduction to biochemistry", "chemical recognition" and "introduction to medicinal chemistry"
