  • Overview

    Computer Structure II

From a functional point of view, this course comprises the description of the components of a computer and its peripherals, doing emphasis in the differences between various types of architectures.

    COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

To explain how each component of a computational system is integrated to the total system.  To explain the functioning of the data transfer system. To explain the functioning of the data storage system. To explain the functioning of the data processing system. To explain the functioning of the control system. To design a basic data transfer system. To design a basic data storage system. To design a basic data processing system. To design a basic control system. To explain the fundamental elements of the different computer architectures. To simulate logic circuits using HDL tools.
