This course describes quantitative models and heuristic strategies for decision making at the strategic, tactical and operational planning in production systems, i.e. production planning, scheduling and control.COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES- To use information technologies to support decision-making processes on production planning and control.- To improve performance measures related to manufacturing or service (project) planning and control.- To make use of appropriate mathematical models and heuristics applied to production planning and control.- To analyze results provided by decision support software tools in order to make decisions and re-evaluate decisions.- To provide rigorous bibliographical research on new applied methods to production settings.
- To develop written essays in the subject and to sustain a proper opinion on the subject.
