IntroductionThis subject is for students who have not studied Chinese before. It is an introduction to the Chinese language and will assist students to develop the language and learning skills necessary to participate in subsequent Chinese language subjects.Learning Objectives1. Students will have the opportunity to advance their receptive skills.2. Students will have the opportunity to advance their productive skills.3. Students will be able to increase their understanding of the grammar and the use of some sentence patterns.4. Students will broaden their vocabulary with learning new topics.5. Students will have opportunities to gain communicational Chinese through practice.

Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
