Hours & Credits
OverviewThis is a core subject for second year primary education students in which we provide students with the knowledge and skills to integrate history, geography, economics, business, civics and citizenship to plan, implement and assess engaging and challenging programs appropriate to primary students. The changing pedagogy of teaching Humanities is examined and evaluated. Practice in selecting areas for study and locating appropriate curriculum resources is included. Students examine contemporary issues that would be suitable for classroom exploration. ICT skills associated with accessing, processing and communicating in a blended learning environment are embedded within the course and utilised in activities and assessment tasks.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
