Academic Information
- COURSE SELECTION
The courses listed below are only a sampling of what the university offers. Please see the full Macquarie Course Catalog, linked below, for additional courses. - CREDIT CONVERSION
Per Macquarie University's recommendation, 3 credit points = 3-4 U.S. semester credits (4-6 U.S. quarter credits). The transcript from Macquarie will reflect Macquarie credit points for each course. Please be in touch with your U.S. university regarding credit transfer for this program. - COURSE LOAD
Please note this program is 3 courses, which is considered full time status at Macquarie UNniversity; however, your U.S. university will determine whether this meets full time student status as your U.S. university defines it. - COURSE LEVEL RECOMMENDATIONS
ISA offers course level recommendations for the courses listed below. Please note that the course level recommendations are based on the Macquarie University unit (course) codes. All MU unit codes consist of three or four letters detailing the subject area of the unit (such as GEO for geosciences) and three numbers. Units with numbers beginning from 1 to 3 are undergraduate units. A code beginning with 1 represents first level studies, 2 second level and 3 third level. Units classified as level 2 and level 3 are recommended as upper division. These ISA recommendations are intended to facilitate the determination of course equivalencies by advisors and credential evaluators at participants' U.S. home institutions.
To search for available courses (units) at Macquarie University:
1) Click the 'Go To Course Search' button below to view the Macquarie Course Handbook
2) Search Units by Code, Macquarie Courses will assign a 3-4 letter abbreviation for academic subject areas
3) Search for units by keywords or phrase using the 'ctrl + F' function on the Macquarie Course Handbook website
4) Select course (unit) to view additional course details
5) Be sure to read through the course description and check any associated prerequisites, or requirements. Be sure to check that the course is offered at the Macquarie North Ryde Campus.
