The Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines & Business Courses in English semester program is open to students at the advanced language level and offers Spanish language courses and a variety of courses with locals instructed in English and Spanish. Courses in English are primarily related to Business and Marketing while courses instructed in Spanish can be in a variety of disciplines, such as Design, Hospitality, Engineering, Business, and Social Sciences.
Please note that courses taken at the Argentine Institute of Gastronomy (IAG) require additional fees, and are located off UADE's campus.
Students enrolling in Spanish language courses will take a placement exam onsite to determine course eligibility.
Students must submit additional documents, including a letter of recommendation and a letter of intent along with their ISA application. Students wishing to enroll in content courses instructed in Spanish must submit the letter of intent written in Spanish. For questions regarding these application requirements, please contact the Argentina Program Manager.
Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial ISA online application. For more information about this option, please contact your Buenos Aires Site Specialist.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (six quarters) of college-level Spanish.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Please note that there are no beginning level Spanish courses offered in this program.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
Please note that some courses with locals have recommended prerequisite courses. It is the student's responsibility to consult any recommended prerequisites prior to enrolling in their course.
