Housing InformationISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Australia lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Australia. All ISA Housing options are either within walking distance or conveniently located to public transit routes. Travel times to the various university buildings generally range between 10 - 20 minutes depending on housing and class locations. Housing is available on all ISA programs in the Pacific region, at an additional cost. There are a range of housing options and costs vary according to accomodation type and session. A Housing Commitment Fee of $1,000 must be paid by the Final Forms and Payment due date. This fee is nonrefundable after the payment due date and is applied to overall housing costs. The total housing cost will be billed 3-4 weeks prior to the program's departure, once a housing assignment has been allocated. Semester Housing Options A $850 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount. On Campus, NO meal plan(New Residences) A $750 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount. Nearby Beach - Off Campus, NO meal plan (Bar Beach) A $825 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount. Independent Housing The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable at all times. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in Australia and the U.S. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility. |
