Vesalius College

Founded in 1988, Vesalius College (VeCo) is a liberal arts college that maintains a humanistic approach to teaching and learning with an emphasis on critical thinking and multiculturalism. The college consists of four separate academic departments: Business, Communications, International Affairs & International and European Law. ISA students are able to enroll in any courses offered at the college granted they meet any pre-requisites. The programs of Vesalius College are accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO, Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie).

Recognized for outstanding programs for international students in English, Vesalius College offers courses in the following subject areas:

Additionally, Vesalius organizes internships for college credit to which ISA students are able to apply. Internships are typically available through a wide range of international organizations located in Brussels such as the EU, European Parliament, NGOs, law offices, multinational businesses, marketing, accounting, public relations firms and more. With a student body of about 400, around 2/3 of the students studying at Vesalius are international students, providing a diverse and unique student population.

Vesalius College is just a 20 minute walk from the ISA Brussels office and has close ties to the VUB - the Dutch Free University in Brussels. Vesalius is located directly next to the VUB, and students are able to take advantage of the many resources the VUB has to offer, such as cafeterias, student cafes, sporting facilities, and more. Vesalius has a strong focus on student life and has a very active student government as well as many clubs and organizations, which ISA students are encouraged to join.
