Intensive Chinese Language -East China Normal University
Students participating in Intensive Chinese Language summer program at East China Normal University will take a full course load of Mandarin language classes which will including speaking, reading, writing, and listening components. Please note that the Beginning level of Chinese language course is not available; students can take courses from High Beginning level to High Intermediate level. A placement exam will be given by the Final Forms and Payment deadline to determine which level of Chinese you will be placed into.
Students can choose to participate in one 4-week session, or can enroll in both summer terms for an 8-week session.
Gap students are eligible for this program.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of one semester (or the equivilant) of college-level Chinese.
East China Normal University will only admit non-Chinese citizens. Students who hold a passport from Mainland China (PRC) are not eligible for this program.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
