This program is open to students at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of Spanish proficiency. It is designed for students wishing to expand their knowledge of health care practices abroad while improving their Spanish.
This program provides students with the opportunity to gain both classroom and practical, hands-on communication experience. Students may also enroll in courses offered in any of the courses offered in the Spanish Language, Liberal Arts & Environmental Studies program to complete their total enrollment. A placement exam will be taken to determine language level.Students may participate in up to three 80-hour Spanish language courses and must take at least one Health Care elective instructed in English, along with other courses, to remain a full-time student. Students may choose to add an additional intensive month program(s) to the trimester/semester program.
Language courses are held in the morning while elective courses are held in the afternoon. There may be weekend or afternoon field trips associated with health care courses.

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
There is no language prerequisite for this program.
Applicants must be studying a health profession such as pre-med, nursing, pharmacy or biology.

Mission WorkISA's Veritas Christian Study Abroad division adds ministry service opportunities and spiritual support to existing ISA programs.
