Caribbean Culture & Spanish Language -Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra
Students will enroll in two courses focusing on Spanish language, conversation and Caribbean culture offered by the Spanish for Foreigners program at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. Students wanting to take a course in Spanish must take the university's placement exam and test into the intermediate or advanced Spanish level upon arrival to Santiago. Beginning Spanish level students must take two culture electives taught in English as Beginning Spanish is not available. All courses are taken with other ISA students and are taught by Dominican professors.
Gap students are also eligible for this program.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
For beginning, intermediate, and advanced level Spanish speakers. Students must have a 2.5 GPA. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Santiago. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll.
