Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines -University of the South Pacific

ISA Suva semester and year programs allow students to select courses from a wide variety of fields of study allowing their study abroad experience to fit their individual academic needs. Courses are conducted through the University of the South Pacific and taught in English by host university professors. ISA students will enroll in courses alongside Fijian and international students.

  • Largest university in the Pacific Islands
  • Abundant volunteer opportunities
  • Strong Programs in Ecology and Marine Science; Sociology and Social Work; Geography; International Studies; Pacific Languages and Culture
  • Housing: Students will be placed in self-catered apartments or houses on campus
  • Multi-day Bridging Cultures Program orientation in Pacific Harbour
  • Optional semester break excursions to Thailand, East Coast Australia, Bali, Ayers Rock/Uluru, or New Zealand's South Island
Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall +
Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have at least sophomore standing (second year) at their home university at the time of participation.

Students are required to submit an official transcript along with the application.
