Apply To This Program

This program offers students the opportunity to take business and culture courses taught in English with the added option of French language instruction. It also includes an experiential learning course titled "Summer Academy: Language, Careers, and Culture", which is meant to expose students to cultural, linguistic, and career development opportunities in a French context. This program is a perfect match for students who wish to prepare for a successful business career in one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the world.

During the program, students may choose one of two course options:

Option 1: 2 Business/Culture Courses
Option 2: 1 Business/Culture Course + 1 French Language Course

Both options will include the Culture & Careers extension course which will weave its way throughout the duration of the program. The majority of hours spent on this course will take place after the traditional courses end in late June.

Business and Elective Courses:
Business and elective courses are held at the main campus of the American Business School Paris and are taught by host university faculty and visiting U.S. faculty. While the program is open to international students, the vast majority of the participants are North American.

French Language Courses:
French language courses are available to students from all language backgrounds, from the true beginning to the superior language levels. Through a pre-departure online placement exam, students will be placed into the most appropriate French language course to foster their linguistic growth. Courses target the competencies of written and verbal communication and comprehension. These classes are comprised of international students from every corner of the world, providing students with distinct perspectives and environments from which to learn. All French courses are taught in French by host university faculty at the Institut Catholique de Paris in its Institut de Langue et de Culture Française (ILCF).

Trancripts:
Transcripts from this program are supplied by the ABSP and the Institut Catholique. For students whose home universities require a U. S. transcript in order to transfer credit for the business courses, ISA has partnered with California Lutheran University to serve as a School of Record. Please contact your ISA Program Manager as soon as possible if you have confirmed with your university that you will need a U.S. transcript.

Gap students, 18 years old and older, are eligible for this program.
