Student Visa and Embassy Information

Students studying in Greece on programs over 90 days are required to apply for a student visa. You must apply for your student visa through the Greek consulate that has jurisdiction over your permanent state of residence. Applications with completed documents should be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to departure date.

It is imperative that you contact your consulate immediately to obtain an official list of requirements and regulations. Most consulates require you to submit your application in person. Once you have identified your consulate, contact them to determine whether this is necessary or if you can submit your application via mail.

Greek consulates require an FBI identification Record in order to issue you a visa. This process can take up to 8 weeks so as soon as you are notified of acceptance you should apply for the certificate if it is required of your consulate.

Note: Embassy and consulate contact information is subject to change without notice. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to verify information.
