Arts, Music, Social & Natural Sciences -Maynooth University

The Arts, Music, Social & Natural Sciences program is offered through Maynooth University (MU). This program offers students a wide variety of courses from three faculties: the Faculty of Arts, Celtic Studies & Philosophy; the Faculty of Science and Engineering; the Faculty of Social Sciences. Popular subject areas include Theology, English, History, and Irish Studies. Of particular note are Maynooth's certificate courses: Certificate in Irish Cultural Heritage, Certificate in Irish Studies, or the Certificate in Peace & Conflict Studies.

Courses are taught by MU faculty and ISA students enroll directly with local and international students. All courses are taught in English.


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must include with the standard ISA application:
- Passport Color Scan

Students must hold at least a Sophomore standing at the time of study.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits are converted to semester credits/quarter units differently among U.S. universities. Students should confirm the conversion scale used at their home university when determining credit transfer.

Please reference fall and spring course lists as not all courses are taught during both semesters.

Please note that some courses with locals have recommended prerequisite courses. It is the student's responsibility to consult any recommended prerequisites prior to enrolling in their course.
