The Irish Studies program is offered through the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway). This program offers students a comprehensive introduction to Irish culture, society, history, literature, film and art through a series of courses and excursions. Of particular note are NUI Galway's non-credit introductory Irish Gaelic language classes that are available to interested students.

Courses are taught by NUI Galway faculty and ISA students take classes with other international students. All courses are taught in English.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must include with the standard ISA application:
- A copy of their passport.
- A passport style photo.
- ISA pre-registration form. This will be emailed directly to the student.

Students must have at least sophomore standing (second year) at their home university at the time of participation.
