Business, Communications, Italian Culture & Courses with Locals -Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

On the Semester/Year 2 program, in addition to courses designed for international students, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) gives students the chance to take courses with locals in English in the fields of Business, Economics, and Banking & Finance. Students with an advanced knowledge of Italian language can choose to take courses with locals in Italian in a wide variety of disciplines.

  • Students have the opportunity to enroll in a pre-session 2-week intensive Italian language course worth 6 ECTS credits (3 semester credits). Many students find this helpful as they prepare for a semester of taking courses with locals taught in Italian. Contact the Italy Site Specialist for more information about adding this pre-session course.
  • In courses with locals, students will study alongside local Italian students, allowing them to experience full cultural and linguistic immersion

  • Students will enroll in a total of 24-30 ECTS credits (12-15 semester credits) per semester.
  • No Italian language experience is required for this program. Students who have not taken Italian language are strongly encouraged to choose language as one of their courses on this program.
  • Language level will be detirmined by a placement exam issued by UCSC.
