Students may choose between the following Program Terms:

Design, Fashion & Digital Arts - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti

Milan is world renowned for being the center of the Fashion industry, and studying at NABA will put you at the nexus of the industry's current trends. You will spend time at the NABA campus in downtown Milan together with international students. Programs are a combination of theoretical and project-based courses, taught by an experienced faculty composed of reputed designers and creative professionals. Studying at NABA, you can take courses in: Fashion Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and more. NABA's summer program offers cumulative knowledge of the industry, giving a view of the most significant market trends, and focuses on a current topical project theme. Summer courses are 2-week intensive research and project courses. Courses are offered in English.

Business, Communications & Italian Culture - Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) offers a variety of courses related to Business, Communications, Economics, Fashion & Design, International Relations, Italian Language & Culture, Media, and Sociology.

Program Highlights:

  • In the Semester/Year 1A programs, students take a 2-week pre-session Italian language course.
  • Students interested in the Language Teaching Assistant Program must apply for Semester/Year 1A. Students will enroll in the Teaching Workshop and English Teaching Practicum worth a combined 6 semester credits.
  • Students interested in taking courses with locals (available in English and Italian) should apply for the Semester/Year 2 program.
Academic Details:
  • Students will enroll in a total of 12-15 semester credits per semester
  • Courses are taught in English (except for Italian language courses).
  • No Italian language experience is required for this program. Students who have not taken Italian language are strongly encouraged to choose language as one of their courses on this program.
  • Language level will be determined by a placement exam issued by UCSC.
  • All courses are taught by local university faculty.
  • Some courses may require additional fees.
  • Classmates are international students.

Business, Communications, Italian Culture & Courses with Locals - Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

On the Semester/Year 2 program, in addition to courses designed for international students, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) gives students the chance to take courses with locals in English in the fields of Business, Economics, and Banking & Finance. Students with an advanced knowledge of Italian language can choose to take courses with locals in Italian in a wide variety of disciplines.

Program Highlights:

  • Students have the opportunity to enroll in a pre-session 2-week intensive Italian language course worth 6 ECTS credits (3 semester credits). Many students find this helpful as they prepare for a semester of taking courses with locals taught in Italian. Contact the Italy Site Specialist for more information about adding this pre-session course.
  • In courses with locals, students will study alongside local Italian students, allowing them to experience full cultural and linguistic immersion

Academic Details:

  • Students will enroll in a total of 24-30 ECTS credits (12-15 semester credits) per semester.
  • No Italian language experience is required for this program. Students who have not taken Italian language are strongly encouraged to choose language as one of their courses on this program.
  • Language level will be detirmined by a placement exam issued by UCSC.
  • Courses are taught by local and international faculty within the UCSC's extensive academic curriculum.
  • Some courses may require additional fees.
  • Classmates are local and international students.
