Arabic Studies, International Relations & Language -ISA Meknes Study Center

Enhance your understanding of our world by selecting from a diverse course list that includes a range of fascinating topics, such as Middle Eastern studies, political science, gender studies, religious studies, and international relations. Embrace the opportunity to study French and Arabic language by selecting from course levels that run from true beginning through advanced. You'll even have the chance to take a class to learn Darija, the local dialect spoken in Meknes.

A highlight of this program is the ability to enroll in two consecutive Arabic or French language courses. If you wish to progress through one full level of language (ie. Beginning Arabic I and II), you may do so and earn up to a years' worth of credit hours in one semester. Please note that you cannot progress through two different levels (ie. Beginning Arabic II and Intermediate I). Courses are instructed by local, U.S. and visiting professors from Carroll College, and classmates will be comprised of other ISA students on your program. With the exception of the language classes, courses will be taught in English.
