Design, Business, Maori Studies, Engineering, Tourism, Media & Communication -AUT University

ISA Auckland semester and year programs allow students to select courses from a wide variety of fields of study allowing their study abroad experience to fit their individual academic needs. Courses are conducted through AUT University and taught in English by host university professors. ISA students will enroll in courses alongside New Zealand and international students.

Highlights of this Program Include:

  • Urban, modern campus is Auckland's city center
  • Offers semester-long internships for academic credit in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Tourism, Hospitality, and more (additional cost of $575)
  • Optional Rugby add-on program
  • Opportunity to experience Maori culture through specialized courses and participate in the International Noho Marae
  • Strong Programs in Engineering; Communications, Media and Journalism; Maori Studies; Sport and Recreation; Tourism; Early Childhood Education
  • Housing: Students will be placed in self-catered, apartment style student housing located just across the street from campus
  • Multi-day Bridging Cultures Program orientation in Auckland and Rotorua
  • Optional semester break excursions to Thailand, East Coast Australia, Bali, Ayers Rock/Uluru, or New Zealand's South Island

Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initialISA online application. Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters at a 4-year university at time of application. Some exceptions may apply, please contact the Program Manager for more information.

Students must also submit an official transcript along with their standard ISA application.

All students participating in the internship program are required to have a 3.0 GPA and must submit additional materials.

Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
