Agriculture and Environment Expedition & Internship -Massey University - Palmerston North

ISA Palmerston North summer students participate in a six week summer program exclusively to study abroad students. Students will explore the varied landscapes and environments of New Zealand, including volcanos, geothermal areas, wine regions, the dairy rich region of the north island. The program is conducted through Massey University and taught in English by host university professors.

Highlights of this Program Include:
  • Two-week tour of New Zealand visiting such places as Queenstown, Mt. Nicholas, Fox and Franz Josef Glacier, Punakaiki, Marlborough wine region, Picton, Wellington, Tongariro, Waikato, and Taupo
  • 4-week internship placement in Hawke's Bay
  • Open to Agribusiness, Agriculture, Environmental Science, and Wildlife Management majors
  • Housing: Students stay in a combination of hotels and hostels
  • Worth 2 course credits; 6-8 US credits


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters at a 4-year university at time of application.

Students must be actively pursuing a degree in agribusiness, agriculture, environmental science, or wildlife management. Students who are pursuing a degree in a related major are eligible to apply and may need to provide additional application materials.

Students must have completed two courses at the 200 level in a related major at time of application.
