Communications and Marketing Expedition & Internship -Massey University - Wellington

ISA Wellington summer students participate in a six week summer program exclusively to study abroad students. Students will explore how successful the brands and images of the tourism industry are at capturing the attention of people new to the country and culture and learn about communications and marketing in a Kiwi and international context. The program is conducted through Massey University and taught in English by host university professors.

Highlights of this Program Include:
  • Two-week tour of New Zealand visiting such places as Auckland, Taupo, Rotorua, Picton, Kaikoura, Christchurch, Queenstown, and Franz Joseph glacier
  • 4-week internship placement in Wellington
  • Open to Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, and Communication majors
  • Housing: Students stay in a combination of hotels and hostels
  • Worth 2 course credits; 6-8 US credits


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters at a 4-year university at time of application.

Students must be actively pursuing a degree in journalism, media studies, public relations, advertising, marketing, or communication. Students who are pursuing a degree in a related major are eligible to apply and may need to provide additional application materials.

Students must have completed two courses at the 200 level in a related major at time of application.
