Creative Expression and Digital Media Expedition & Internship -Massey University - Wellington

ISA Wellington summer students participate in a six week summer program exclusively to study abroad students. Students will do an intensive study of key works from seven locales including urban, rural and wilderness areas, and discover the ways in which contemporary creative expression in Aotearoa/New Zealand reflects and exposes the layered geographies of people, cultures and histories. The program is conducted through Massey University and taught in English by host university professors.

Highlights of this Program Include:
  • Two-week tour of New Zealand visiting such places as Christchurch, Malborough region, Picton, Wellington, Gisborne, Rotorua, Matamata, Auckland, the Central Plateau, and Palmerston North.
  • Open to Theatre, Scriptwriting, Creative Writing, Publishing, Media Studies, and Digital Media Production majors
  • Housing: Students stay in a combination of hotels and hostels
  • Worth 2 course credits; 6-8 US credits


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters at a 4-year university at time of application.

Students must be actively pursuing a degree in Theatre, Scriptwriting, Creative Writing, Publishing, Media Studies, or Digital Media Production. Students who are pursuing a degree in a related major are eligible to apply and may need to provide additional application materials.

Students must have completed two courses at the 200 level in a related field of study at time of application.
