Housing Information

Seoul Housing Information

ISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Korean lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of South Korea. All housing is on campus, conveniently located near public transit routes accessible to all parts of the city. The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable at all times.

Remember: There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in South Korea and the U.S. The key to a positive experience is flexibility. With this in mind, you can have an amazing stay in Seoul!

Students participating in programs at Konkuk University will stay in KU:L House, the Konkuk University student dormitory. ISA students will live among Korean and International students. Each double occupancy room includes an internet connection, air conditioning, and a shared refrigerator on each floor. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and is located near the center of campus. Students have access to the KU:L House Dining Hall and may purchase a meal plan for an additional fee.


Students participating in semester programs at Korea University will stay in one of two Korea University Dormitories: CJ International House or Anam Global House. CJ International House offers doubles and singles rooms and has semi-private baths. Bathroom facilities are connected to the suite and are shared by the suitemates. Anam Global House offers triples and doubles rooms and has semi-private baths. Bathroom facilities are installed in the room and are shared by the roommates. Single rooms are available for an additional fee. Dorm placement is based on availability. During summer programs at Korea University, Frontier House dormitory will also be available for students.

ISA students will live with other local Korean students and international students. Shared kitchens are available at each dormitory, but all students have access on-campus dining halls (meal plan not included).

Dorms Amenities:
  • Bathroom facilities: private for CJ International House; and common for Anam 2 Hall(one per floor),
  • Lounge/TV area,
  • Laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers,
  • Kitchen facilities equipped with the refrigerator, microwave oven, gas range oven, water purifier, table and wastebasket.
    Note: Individual student rooms are not equipped to accommodate the electrical and sanitary demands of cooking.

  • Closet space for each resident
  • Phone, for incoming calls only
  • Air conditioner and heater

Students studying at Korea univeristy will also have the option to stay at goshitel, which is an off-campus student residence. Goshitels are located within walking distance of Korea University. All students are in single rooms with private bathrooms and shared public kitchens.

*Please note that ISA students studying at Korea University for semester programs are guaranteed housing as part of their program, and will be given an option after acceptance to select a preference for a single room, double room, triple room or goshitel. ISA will try to place all students in their first choice accommodation while possible, but first-choice placements are not guaranteed to due to limited housing availability at Korea University. Students participating in the summer program at Hanyang University will stay in on-campus dorms, based on availability and placements. ISA students will live with other local Korean students and international students.

Students may opt to secure housing independently. Students who select this option are fully responsible for finding their own housing and receive a discount equal to the housing portion of the program price. Please contact Seoul Program Manager to verify the discount amount.
