Business and Tourism Courses with Locals & Spanish Language -Universidad de Barcelona

This program is for students who would like to take courses in the fields of Tourism, Hospitality Management, and/or Business. Students on this program can take courses taught in English with local Spanish students. Student at a high intermediate language level of Spanish or above can also take courses in Spanish with other international students.

*All classes are taken at the CETT Campus located 25 minutes by metro to the city centre with International and Local Students. CETT is an international school affiliated with the University of Barcelona and specializes in tourism, hotel management, and gastronomy.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language requirement for this program. No student, regardless of language level, will be required to enroll in Spanish language. However, it is strongly encouraged that students enroll in language in order to fully immerse themselves in the language and culture of the area.

Students at the high intermediate level (B1) or above will also have the opportunity to enroll in courses taught in Spanish pending the official UB CETT language placement exam.
All students must take an online Spanish language placement exam before arrival in Barcelona. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Spain having completed one full year of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent) will likely place into the intermediate level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed two years of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent) will likely place into the advanced level courses.
