This program allows students to enroll in courses with local students at the Universidad de Salamanca in a wide variety of academic disciplines.The Universidad de Salamanca is renowned for its language and translation studies, and is on the American Translators Association's list of approved translation schools. This program offers students an entirely immersive study abroad experience at one of Spain's oldest and most prestigious universities.
This program is open to students with a superior-level knowledge of Spanish (students must have completed 6+ semesters of college-level Spanish, or tested out of the equivalent). Students will take a required Intensive Spanish Language course with international students at the beginning of the program before enrolling in courses directly at the University of Salamanca with local Spanish students.
IMPORTANT: The courses listed for the Academic Year 3 session include all offerings available over the course of the academic year, and not all classes are necessarily offered both semesters. Please refer to the Fall 3 and Spring 3 sections of this website to obtain current course offerings for each semester.
Student visa is required for programs over 90 days. Please reference the Student Visa & Embassy page for more information. Applying for a visa could require out of state travel.

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
Students must have a superior-level knowledge of Spanish. Most universities equate this to six semesters (8-9 quarters) of college-level Spanish.
