Apply To This Program

This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency and typically allows students to progress through one language level in each month long course. Beginning level courses focus solely on language acquisition while intermediate, advanced, and superior level courses expand on Spanish culture, in addition to grammar. Classes are taught in Spanish by host university faculty and students are in class with international students. Program prices do not include airport pick-up and drop-off or excursions.

Service-Learning Information
During the last four weeks of the program, students will work 20-30 hours per week at a host organization, increasing language proficiency and gaining valuable international experience. Placements are arranged prior to arrival in the host country and language requirements may vary. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information on placement opportunities.

Service-Learning placements are coordinated by ISA and have no affiliation with the university. Students will complete a Service-Learning Portfolio throughout the program, which consists of reflective assignments, group discussions, and logs of hours.

Students can earn 3 credits by completing a minimum of 90 hours at a host organization and through successful completion of the Service-Learning Portfolio. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information about academic credit.

Students may add on additional service weeks and earn additional academic credit. Please speak with ISA staff for adding on additional weeks and credit.
