This program accommodates students at all levels of Spanish proficiency and typically allows students to progress through one language level in each month long course. Beginning level courses focus solely on language acquisition while intermediate, advanced, and superior level courses expand on Spanish culture, in addition to grammar. Classes are taught in Spanish by host university faculty and students are in class with international students. Program prices do not include airport pick-up and drop-off or excursions.
Service-Learning placements are coordinated by ISA and have no affiliation with the university. Students will complete a Service-Learning Portfolio throughout the program, which consists of reflective assignments, group discussions, and logs of hours.
Students can earn 6 credits by completing a minimum of 180 hours at a host organization and through successful completion of the Service-Learning Portfolio. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information about academic credit.
