Housing Information

ISA housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Spanish lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Spain. All ISA housing options are either within walking distance or conveniently located near public transit routes. Travel times to the various university buildings generally range between 15 and 40 minutes depending on housing and class locations. Please note: all housing in Spain is subject to availability.

The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded at all times. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in Spain and the U.S. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility. With this in mind, you can become a true español(a)!

Homestays are the norm for Spain, where students usually share a bedroom with another ISA student. Students have the option of paying extra to secure an individual room. Students who choose the Homestay option will be provided with three meals per day (except on ISA excursion days) and laundry service once a week for the official duration of the program.

ISA Apartment:
Apartments are assigned on a first-come/first-serve basis, and availability is limited. Rent is included in the program price. Students are placed in furnished, centrally located apartments. All apartments are either within walking distance or conveniently located to public transit routes relative to the university. Meals and laundry service are not included. A $500 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.
Apartments are not available during Intensive Month (Two-Week Intensive Spanish Language) programs.

Conveniently located right next to the ISA Study Center in Sevilla, the Residencia is a dorm-like housing option for both male and female students (please note that roommate assignments will be same sex). Bedrooms come complete with lock and key, private bathroom, bed, closet, desk, and air conditioning and heating. The Residencia has a common kitchen for all the students to use and will come equipped with cooking utensils, appliances and cookware. Students will enjoy having access to the living area with TV, study rooms, laundry facilities (with washer and dryer), garden, and WIFI throughout the building.

Independent Housing:

Students may opt to secure housing independently. Students who select this option receive a discount equal to the housing portion (room, board and laundry) of the program price. By choosing to opt out of ISA housing, you are solely responsible for researching, reserving, and paying for all fees, deposits, and rent directly to the housing facility that you choose.
